Vets and Tek? Why our values define us
Joining any new team can be a challenge for vets and partners of vets as they move bases, making friends and find new jobs. So, what’s it like at Tek Experts and do our values fit in with yours? Site Manager and military ‘brat’ Henry Martin explains:
Values define who we are as a company. We want our people to understand our wider vision, how we go about providing our ‘Customer first’ service and how we empower them to go the ‘Extra mile.’
To retrain those values, I only recruit people who are a good fit
for the values. It’s much more important to me that we hire somebody who has the Tek Experts DNA, rather than simply because they have all of the relevant certifications. Why? Because it's much easier to train somebody how to deliver support than to change someone’s core personality.
We believe the secret to our team’s success, is that we’re not your typical call center and we don’t even describe ourselves as one. There’s no rigid script to stick to, no wallboard showing waiting callers, and no one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, people have the flexibility to find the best solution for the customer; using their creativity and problem-solving skills to do so. Because there’s nobody waiting on the phone expecting an immediate answer, engineers
and support teams
have the time and go back to the customer when they have the right answer.
When you join is you can expect to be given the platform to build a career in the IT support industry. The Springs office is unique in that it’s strongly represented military veterans and their spouses.
