About the role...

The Senior IT System Administrator role require a minimum of 3 years’ experience as a systems administrator within a call centre environment with at least 100 - 500 users, and 3 years’ experience in administrating CMS, multiple server systems and IT infrastructure.
Duties include but are not limited to installing, managing, and maintaining computers, servers and network systems to ensure the stable operations of TEK’s IT assets. The Sr. Sys Admin will also ensure the integrity and stability of infrastructure systems related to IT  as well as the VPN connection of internal network and partner’s access. This person shall analyze and resolve hardware and software problems as well as troubleshooting servers performance issue. Maintain high level of information security is one of the compulsory roles that this person to ensure it aligns with global corporation strategy.

What you’ll be doing

    Duties and responsibilities:

    Monitor, Maintain, and Manage all servers and network devices at a site to keep them running properly
    Coordinate with other System Admins at other sites to resolve problems and faults
    Monitor and Utilize server (hardware or virtual)
    Follow Change control management while implementing system changes, upgrades, and updates
    Provide Technical support for other teams
    Ensure all IT Global policies/standards and procedures are in place.
    Conduct Daily/ Weekly and Monthly System Health checklist

    Health Safety Security Environment 
    Maintain safety standards in the working environment that comply with TEK and partner’s HSSE standard
    Ensure that all servers are protected by the latest anti-virus software
    Make sure all Security ERs/patches/hotfixes to all servers

    Business Continuity
    Capacity planning for system upgrade
    Fully understand Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) for business continuity. Make sure the compliant with TEK’s global DRP. Join the project team for DR Exercise
    Technical Representative at his/ her site for solving Crisis problems

Skills and Competencies

2-3 years of experience in administrating Microsoft servers would be a strong advantage.
3-5 years of Microsoft System Center 2012/2012R2 management platform experience, including some/all of the following applications in the family:
Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Installation, configuration and deployment of packages
Deploying new Distribution points
Creating and editing new images for company PCs
Intune
Autopilot
Virtualization – general knowledge/concept, experience in provisioning/administration with any vendor hypervisor (VMware / Microsoft HyperV,)
Server OS - Windows 2008 (R2), 2012 (R2), 2016, general Linux configuration
Client OS - Windows 7, 10
Networking - general knowledge of devices, LAN/WAN concepts, routing, DNS, DHCP, load balancing, firewalls
Active Directory – concept, topology, general admin tasks, scripting, GPOs
PowerShell – administration, scripting
O365 – Exchange, SharePoint (or alternatives from other vendors)
Azure – general configuration, VMs, Deployments and scaling
Monitoring – Servers and Infrastructure health state (understanding of zabbix /Nagios)
Mobile Device Management
Additional knowledge in cloud technologies and backup software
Strong technical skills with Server technology, Virtualization
Strong in IT Service Management for Incident, Change and Configuration Management
Good in Crisis Management
Excellent Troubleshooting skills
Capable of being self-managed

Education and Experience
MCSA, MS, VMware certification or higher is advantage but is not required
ITIL v3 or ISO20000 experience but is not required
English – communication skills, verbal and written
